The production version of the 2016 redesign, still current: a coreless twin-rotor motor that eliminates cogging, microprocessor control with a rotary position sensor, a four-layer cabinet, a three-layer 3.6 kg platter and a magnesium tonearm. Gained the GR2's ΔΣ-Drive in October 2025.
Changes from predecessor, vs classic 1200s: everything, new motor, cabinet, platter and tonearm. Shares only the silhouette and the controls.
